In this podcast, I discuss the reasons why I chose my artist name & the rise of autists to power in America. Think about it, a lot of the most powerful people in the world are autistic or on the spectrum. This is in stark contrast to the Industrial Revolution when the richest men were very neurotypical. Asperger's is also known as Engineer's Disease as a lot of engineers deal with this neurodivergence, characterized by obsessive-compulsive disorder with a few select topics. This can be an advantage if you're an engineer or a computer programmer or a completely OCD businessperson. So, with our shift from industrial manufacturing to computers & programming, neurodivergence can be a "superpower" as Greta Thunberg describes it. Or, it can be a severe disability depending on the severity & your ability to adapt & evolve beyond these limitations. Obviously, it's worked out well for Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg & many others.
As a neurodivergent, I discuss my own experiences navigating this world & how it was mainly a major annoyance. Biohacking started to set me free from my own "locked" mind & health issues. I will discuss my biohacking secrets in a future podcast. The main point of the podcast is why I chose the artist name DVNT (deviant) in these strange times, how it has nothing to do with sexuality & everything to do with being a neurodivergent & taking the road less traveled...

So I wanted to contribute to the Gen.Zeitgeist surrounding these pieces.
I know I'm a little late to the existential angst party but here goes... So we've had 2 nearly universally loved pieces about mental illness in the last couple years... which is a good thing, right? Sure, but neither of these really resonated with me personally & I will explain exactly why in the course of this podcast.

Why Gary V & Life Coaches are Terrible Role Models & Bordeline Frauds for Young "Hustlers" - On this first edition of The Ikonocast Podcast, I tackle the idea of "hustlers", life coaches, influencers, business gurus and why it's mostly all nonsense. Yeah, I know, Gary, I'm just too negative & unhappy with my own life, except, nah, not really. I just think it's wildly irresponsible to preach that your lifestyle works for everyone when we are all SO completely different with completely different skillsets. And that ultimately toxic positivity does far more harm than pragmatic realism ever could. My advice is going to potentially help far more people than almost anything these positivity gurus spout, in fact I'd be willing to bet a larger percentage of people have found themselves homeless as a result of listening to empty hope hype than those who have found success. And I actually come from nothing, so I know what it's like.
